Parsippany, NJ, October 25, 2023: Sax LLP, a top 100 accounting, tax and advisory firm, proudly announces its 12th annual 4 MILER raised over $125,000 to benefit the Child Life Department of St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital – the largest amount raised in the history of the event. Nearly 400 participants, 20 volunteers, 34 sponsors, and 225 donors came together to support the 4 MILER, held at Sax’s global headquarters in Parsippany for the first time on September 30.
St. Joseph’s Child Life Department offers high-impact holistic therapies to their pediatric patients, including art therapy, animal-assisted therapy, and horticultural therapy. These therapies are solely funded by outside support. They are shown to be highly impactful in mitigating the adverse effects of hospitalization, particularly for patients with chronic, life-threatening, or terminal illnesses.
With the money raised in this year’s 4 MILER, Sax is close to its goal of raising $1 million for St. Joseph’s Health. Since its inception in 2012, the 4 MILER has raised more than $900,000 for the Children’s Hospital, making it the largest financial contributor to the Child Life Department. The firm’s philanthropic arm, The Sax Charitable Foundation, absorbs all event costs so that 100% of funds raised go directly to benefit the Child Life Department.
